President Donald Trump said late Thursday that Canada is no longer invited to join his “Board of Peace,” escalating tensions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney after a sharp exchange in Davos.
Trump announced the move in a Truth Social post addressed to Carney. He said the newly launched Board of Peace was “withdrawing its invitation” for Canada to join.
“Please let this Letter serve to represent that the Board of Peace is withdrawing its invitation to you regarding Canada’s joining, what will be, the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled, at any time,” Trump wrote.
